As a teenager I started taking Jazz Dance classes and really enjoyed the workouts, especially how strong and flexible my body felt. In 1980, the first Aerobic studio opened in Montreal; I walked in and loved it immediately. I woke up the next morning and the only part of my body that did not ache was my tongue! I was hooked. After a few months I was asked to give classes and that was my beginning.

I taught a minimum of 10 classes a week for years. At that time I met some people who were part of a running club and I began long distance running. We met at the "Y" and would run 6-15 miles 2-3 times a week. I also discovered the weight room at the "Y" and took to in instantly. The changes were amazing and I felt energized, strong and lean. I started to eat well and eliminated foods that contained nitrates, high fat content and sugar from my diet.

In 1986 I got pregnant and I taught my classes until the middle of my 8th month and felt fabulous. After my son was born I went back to teaching classes and working in an office during the day. I have always been active and enjoyed outdoor activities as well.

After my 2 younger children were born, 19 months apart, I threw myself back into fitness. At that time Personal Training was becoming popular and I was teaching aerobic and boxing classes at our local YMCA.

I slowly started building up my Personal training business, really enjoying working one-on-one with people and helping meet their fitness goals. I was teaching Kickboxing classes, at my studio and loved the energy in the room. People were making huge changes in their lives and would approach me with questions regarding their health and nutrition.

In April 2000 I participated in a body building competition and placed 2nd. It was a great experience that I have shared with my clients; I knew that if I could succeed in changing my body so drastically then I could help them with their goals

I approached local elementary schools and started working with the kids, offering extra-curricular programs at lunch and after school to supplement their insufficient physical education programs. It was a hit! I was teaching “Tai-Box Jr.” and empowering these youngsters.

For the past 14 years I have been training clients in small groups of 2 to 4 people, as well as one-on-one private sessions. Most of my clients have achieved their goals and we truly enjoy our workout time. I keep these sessions both challenging and interesting, listening carefully to their needs so that these workouts are tailored specifically to each individual client.

I regularly attend conferences and workshops to keep myself informed of the latest techniques. I love what I do, making a difference in people’s lives is genuinely rewarding.
